The 3 Best Breathing Exercises for Singers

You'd like to trust your voice but sometimes it wobbles, cracks or leaks air. How are you meant to have faith and express yourself if it won't behave itself?

Well my dear, you have to TRAIN IT.

This video introduces you to my 3 FAVOURITE BREATHING EXERCISES that (if you're good and do them on the regular) will hugely improve your stability and vocal control.

 

The first is reminding the body how effortlessly you'd like it to inhale, meaning you're less likely to gasp in far too much air and struggle to release it consistently.

And the other two are increasing your control over the exhale, training the muscles in your torso to slow down the release of your diaphragm (which exhales for you) - giving you a more even air flow to sing with.
