YOU SHOULDN’T NEED A PHD TO BUILD AN EASY-LIKE-SUNDAY-MORNING SINGING VOICE

SOMETIMES WE JUST WANT TO BE GIVEN THE RECIPE AND FOR THE RECIPE TO WORK

I know you’ve probably been burned before. And I’m so sorry.

Either you’ve

  • watched every single YouTube video on learning to sing or eliminating strain or “how to sing from the diaphragm” or

  • had no idea where to start so just haven’t

  • paid for lesson after lesson with a teacher and felt deflated because it’s just not clicking

And you haven’t had that exciting moment where you actually believe it’s possible for you.

So maybe you’re losing faith.

LET ME PUT YOUR MIND AT EASE HERE.

IT’S NOT YOU - IT’S HOW IT’S BEEN EXPLAINED TO YOU AND HOW YOU’VE BEEN SHOWN TO PRACTICE.

I’M PRETTY SURE I KNOW WHAT KIND OF VOICE YOU WANT

_DSC7991_6607 kim final.jpg

One that’s smooth like a drizzle of caramel sauce on your ice-cream.

That’s full-bodied like a distinguished red wine.

That dances through notes, sweeping you up in their current.

In other (slightly less poetic) words?

A singing voice that is consistent, resonant and effortless.

And what is the first key ingredient needed to make this delicious recipe?

THE RIGHT FUEL.

turqouise.jpg

QUALITY ALWAYS MATTERS

You wouldn't put diesel in a Lamborghini (y’know if Oprah gave you one) and expect it to purr like a kitten.

And yet most singers are filling up their tanks with less than premium fuel.

Then they splutter along, battling with

  • a tightness in their throat

  • notes that embarrassingly crack unexpectedly

  • unwanted Marilyn Monroe breathiness

  • a voice that tires easily

  • shrill, thin high notes (if they grace us with their presence at all)

  • a heavy amount of self doubt because they can’t trust what will come out one moment to the next.

If any of this sounds like you, you are not alone.

Welcome to a pretty large (but still cool) club.

WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN (EVEN TO THE MOST EXPERIENCED OF US)?

The problem is that breath support is often taught in vague or confusing ways.

You’re told to make sure you’re not squeezing from the throat and instead “sing from the body” but you have no idea what buttons to push to make that happen (because you’re not psychic).

If you’re not shown how each step should look, feel and sound - you’re screwed!

And most singers aren’t 100% what order they should be doing things in.

They’re not sure what exercises are actually going to create lasting results for their voice.

They don’t know what their daily practice routine should look like so they’re stumbling in the dark.

And then they stop practicing, feel like a failure and don’t sing in front of another soul.

YOU DESERVE TO TRUST your voice and YOURSELF.

AND BANISH FEAR TO YOUR BACK POCKET.

30 Days to Better Breath Support TO THE RESCUE!

*INSERT SUPERHERO THEME MUSIC HERE*

You shouldn't have to do extra research and give yourself more brow wrinkles trying to decipher what to do to get great results.

Your knight in shining armour is a 30 day detailed easy-to-follow course helping you to understand what "support" actually is (and what it isn’t) with techniques, exercises and tools to get you experiencing it for yourself.

It’s all well and good to learn about the science of what happens with the muscles and the sub-glottic pressure but that doesn’t help you body replace your old habits with shiny new ones.

That takes simple instructions and easy to follow exercises with a purpose.

AND DON’T THINK I’LL ABANDON YOU AS SOON AS YOU STEP INSIDE

You can ask as many questions inside the course as you need to feel confident you’re doing it right.

PLUS you get my personal feedback on one of your practice sessions along the way to check in.

I’ve got your back.

The 30 Days to Better Breath Support course was so helpful. I didn’t even know I was doing something wrong until this.

The course is so thoroughly built to help people throughout it. I’m still using some of the exercises and techniques from this. Thank you!!

I have barely thought about my vocal break at all over the past few months! Occasionally it will crop up, but the majority of the time I just seem to sail on through.

I’m putting the change down to your 30 Days to Better Breath Support course - and, shamefully, I only got about half way through!

Having proper breath support explained so thoroughly, and particularly the straw exercises, has just been a game changer for me! You really are an amazing teacher, and I feel so much gratitude towards you every time I sing.

The first time we met, you asked me what I wanted to achieve, and I said that I wanted to be able to enjoy my own voice. I can honestly say that I have achieved that goal.

The FAQs

How much time will I have to set aside?

About 30 minutes a day is perfect.

How many videos do I have to upload and when?

You don’t have to do any, but you do have a personal feedback option included where you can send one privately to me (up to 5 minutes long) so I can give you some ideas on how to improve further.

What if I can’t commit right now?

You have access to this course and any updates as long as it exists (which is hopefully years and years) so if life gets in the way, you can come back to it at any time.

What if I can't seem to process payment through PayPal or credit card?

Email me (kim@inspiredtosing.com) and we'll sort out another method for you!

What style of singing or ability level is it for?

Breath support is one of those fundamentals that every level of singer needs. I find that even advanced singers can benefit from revisiting the way they support their voice and it’s certainly where beginners need to start.

If you know you struggle with tension, consistency or are missing that resonance throughout your range, this will be right up your alley.

When does it start?

When you sign up champ!

STILL UNSURE IF THIS IS A GOOD FIT FOR YOU?

Well if you…

  • want a fuller more resonant sound but can't quite seem to get there

  • feel a tickle in your throat or crack on high notes

  • feel a squeezing of your throat when you sing with more power (even a little one)

  • know you yank your abdominals muscles in and grip them “for power”

  • feel a lot of tension in your ribcage, jaw or tongue when you sing, or

  • know the whole experience should feel so much easier than it does

I really think you're going to want to come along for the ride.
