This workshop (as with all my teaching) will be a mash-up of practical technique, performance coaching and meaningful conversation about what can hold us back as singers.
I want you to leave this workshop more confident than when you walked in.
Armed with tools and ideas that will get you in motion and thinking about your voice in new ways.
WHEN AND WHERE?
Saturday 4 May (9am - 1pm, with a delicious morning tea spread provided)
Brunswick Mechanics Institute Theatre
270 Sydney Road, Brunswick, Melbourne
SO WHAT WILL WE BE DOING IN OUR TIME TOGETHER?
Unravel the idea of training your aural imagination and why it should be YOU who decides what sounds “good”
Explore the 4 main reasons you don’t have the full, effortless, consistent voice you want. YET.
Talk about what makes a good and useful warm up and what works best for what registers/styles (getting you to actual do this and feel the difference)
Untangle some of the beliefs around your voice that could be stopping you from sharing your voice or even enjoying singing anymore. And most importantly, changing those stories.
Q & A time for any technical or non technical questions you have.
The final part of the workshop will be a masterclass where singers who have bought a Masterclass ticket will have the opportunity to perform a section of a song and I’ll coach them on this in real time.
Interested in being featured in the Masterclass (i.e. I’ll be coaching you live in the workshop)?
I really encourage you to choose a section of a song you find challenging so that I can help you problem solve this but of course it’s up to you.
All Masterclass participants will be required to send their backing track through before the workshop and there will be a microphone provided on the day if you’d like to use it.
I’M IN, LEMME GET ONE OF THOSE TICKETS!
Both tickets include morning tea (you can let me know dietary requirements after purchase)
