Exploring the vast snowy peaks of Hyrule often leads to discovering some of the most intriguing secrets in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Among the many side quests available, finding the colossal Eighth Heroine statue remains a memorable challenge for adventurers traversing the Gerudo region. This quest rewards keen observation and strategic planning, making it an essential task for completionists.

How to Initiate The Eighth Heroine Quest

To begin this quest, travel to the exterior of Gerudo Town and locate an NPC named Bozai running around the perimeter. Speak with him while dressed in the required Gerudo clothing to prompt the quest line. Bozai will challenge you to capture a clear picture of the legendary statue in exchange for temporary movement equipment.

Finding the Eighth Heroine Statue Location

The giant monument is hidden deep within the cold snowy mountain range known as the Gerudo Highlands. Head toward the northern section of the Risoka Snowfield to find the statue carved directly into the mountain cliffside. Utilizing the nearby Kema Kosassa Shrine serves as an effective fast-travel landmark for reaching the area quickly.

Capturing the Required Photo

Once you reach the location, equip your Camera Rune to prepare for the objective. You must position yourself on an opposing ledge or cliff face to get a complete view of the statue's upper body and head. Ensure the red target indicator appears on your camera screen before taking the shot to guarantee quest validation.

Completing the Quest and Claiming Rewards

Return to Gerudo Town and present the snapshot to Bozai to finish the assignment. Upon showing him the proof, he will officially reward you with the Sand Boots, which significantly increase your movement speed across desert terrain. Completing this favor also opens up a follow-up opportunity to permanent unlock the valuable Snow Boots later on.
